High flying staff raise funds for charity

As part of our fundraising efforts for Midlands Air Ambulance, a team of fearless staff members has raised over £2000 by taking part in a charity skydive.

Di Levitt, Helen Reid and Ali Wright have each taken to the skies to jump from 15,000 feet, as part of a tandem with a trained instructor. Di Levitt described the experience as being "Amazing, totally awesome!" with Helen saying: "It was the most tranquil activity I have ever done and I can’t wait to do it again." Together, as a team, they have managed to raise over £2000 with donations still coming in.

The last member of the intrepid team, Daisy Evans, has had her jump postponed due to injury. However her skydive has been confirmed to take place on Saturday, 1st August. Daisy says: "I can't wait! I'm super excited - now I know I can jump it actually feels real. Fingers crossed the weather stays nice and I will have an ace view!" We all wish Daisy the best of luck for her skydive and congratulations to the whole team for raising such an amazing amount of money for Midlands Air Ambulance.

Every year staff at West Mercia Supplies nominate a charity of their choice to support through fundraising. So far 2015 has seen warehouse sales, raffles, quiz nights and dress down days alongside the ever popular cake sales! Last year we raised a fabulous figure of £7734 for Midlands Air Ambulance, with the superb effort from the skydive team adding to the final total for 2014.

We are delighted to support Hope House Children’s Hospices as our chosen charity for 2015.
